First & Goal: The 10-Minute Movement Reset

NFL teams just wrapped their Annual Meeting in Phoenix. New rules. New strategies. New commitments for the 2026 season. And one of those commitments? Expanded mental health resources — every team now required to employ a full-time mental health clinician.

The league finally admitted what high performers have always known: the mind and body are the same system. You can’t separate them.

Neither can you.

Here’s the lie we tell ourselves: movement only counts if it’s a full workout. 45 minutes minimum. Gym clothes required. Sweat mandatory. Anything less is barely worth doing.

That’s not fitness science. That’s guilt culture in athletic wear.

Ten minutes of intentional movement changes your biochemistry. Full stop. It breaks the cortisol cycle. It shifts your nervous system out of fight-or-flight. It sends a signal to your brain that you are not, in fact, trapped — you are capable of moving forward.

Literally and figuratively.

Your 10-minute menu:

The Reset Walk. Outside if you can. No podcast, no phone. Just move and breathe. This is a deceptively powerful tool.

The 10-Minute Flow. YouTube, any level. Show up in what you slept in. Done.

The Kitchen Dance Break. Embarrassing. Effective. No further explanation needed.

The Desk Stretch Circuit. Neck rolls, hip flexor stretch, shoulder opener. Three rounds. Your body will thank you by 3pm.

The Intentional Staircase. Three flights, three times. That’s it. You just moved.

You don’t need a perfect block of time. You need ten minutes and a decision.

Make the decision today.
