Since the NFL season is just about over, the NBA can start taking more night time slots to keep viewers entertained.
So things looked a little different Sunday Night as viewers tuned in, not to see Carrie Underwood – waiting all day for Sunday night – but Lenny Kravitz.
Kravitz was featured in the NBA on NBC Sunday Night basketball game opening music video, singing a rock, basketball theme version of Elvis Presley’s “Satisfy Me.”
Viewers were certainly satisfied with an exciting doubleheader featuring the Lakers visiting the Knicks and Oklahoma City visiting Denver.
Notice anything familiar?
Kravitz shot the fierce opening at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia with Tripp Dixon, the NBC Sports creative director who worked with Underwood on the NFL openings that’ve been used for the last 13 years. Local talent was apart of the fun in September 2025.
The open will be aired weekly, with the exception of Feb. 8 (Super Bowl) and Feb. 15 (All-Star/Olympics).
