Birds’ Eye View: PREVIEW – Eagles-Colts

The Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) are looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season. They have since added Ndamukong Suh to their roster to help fix the issues the Eagles found on Monday night.

Now, the challenge that lies ahead is Colts running back, Jonathan Taylor. The South Jersey native is not going to make things easy for the Eagles run defense.

Here are the keys to each team’s success as well as the final injury report, betting lines and predictions.

Eagles’ Keys to Success

  • Run the ball and win the game on the ground.
  • Win the turnover battle again.
  • Stop the run and pass rush like crazy.

Colts’ Keys to Success

  • Stop the run – even Hurts.
  • Win in the trenches.
  • Sacks matter.

Eagles Injury Report

Josh Jobe (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game.

Colts Injury Report

Kwity Paye (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game.

Jelani Woods (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game.

Zaire Franklin (illness) is questionable for Sunday’s game.

Isaiah Rodgers (illness) is questionable for Sunday’s game.

Braden Smith (back) is questionable for Sunday’s game.

Betting Models:

Spread: Eagles -6.5 (-110), Colts +6.5 (-110)

O/U 45.5 (-110)

Eagles ML: -300

Colts ML: +240

Prediction: Eagles 27-21

I see the Eagles having a slow start, even after the fire and hunger coming off of a loss. They eventually find their footing towards the second half but never give up a lead by too much. I hope it’s a big day for A.J. Brown as well as the defense because it is long overdue.
