I used to roll my eyes at “morning routines.” The cold showers. The journaling. The manifestation talk that feels one step away from pretending your problems don’t exist.
Then I realized something. Discipline doesn’t show up when life is calm. It shows up when you do the thing you don’t want to do first.
That’s biting the frog.
It’s answering the email you’re avoiding. Starting the workout before your brain negotiates. Turning the water cold for thirty seconds and proving to yourself that discomfort doesn’t kill you.
Cold showers aren’t magic. They’re symbolic. You start the day by doing something uncomfortable on purpose. Suddenly, the rest of the day feels easier.
And yes, I manifest. Not in a “sit and wish” way. In a “decide what kind of person I’m being today” way. Discipline-first Jenn shows up differently than scroll-in-bed-for-an-hour Jenn.
The routine isn’t rigid. It’s intentional. One hard thing. One clear intention. One signal to your brain that you’re in charge today.
You don’t need to be perfect. You need momentum.
Start delusional if you have to. Sometimes belief comes after action.
