Ahh, New York, New York.
Busy streets. Relatively the city that never sleeps. Vendors on every corner, and depressed New York football fans trading hot dogs for antacids after another QB saga.
Let me set the stage for you.
In March 2025, the Giants sign veteran quarterback Russell Wilson to a one-year, $10.5 million contract after stints with the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and Pittsburgh Steelers. In his short stint with the team, he went 0-3.
In Week 2, the Giants were in a real contest with the Dallas Cowboys where Wilson was playing fantastic despite limited mobility. Despite throwing roughly 450 yards and three touchdowns, the team lost in overtime, 40-37.
Wilson suffered a Grade 2 hamstring tear on the final play of practice the Friday before the Cowboys game – and played like he didn’t.

The injury was never reported on the Giants’ official injury reports, as Wilson purposefully hid it from the team as he wanted the starting job at QB.
With that at stake, wouldn’t you play through a torn hammy for one more chance?
After reports suggested an NFL probe, Wilson defended the Giants organization on social media.
The NFL rules require accurate injury reporting for integrity and gambling reasons. Wilson’s revelation raised questions about whether the team should’ve known, furthering investigation and potential fines.
Wilson’s lingering injury kept him down this season, but Wilson has no plans of retiring.
Russ hits free agency — hero or liability? The NFL’s watching…and so are we. What do you think?
