I basically heard this piece of advice through a drunken card game at Tapster in Philadelphia. This person knows a lot about the business world, and for me as someone who felt like she failed a lot last year, it was nice to hear someone so established talk about failure in a positive way.

I chose these songs as kind of like manifestations for the new year. “Blue Sky” and “The Largest” reflect a new kind of confidence and happiness after a hard year. Honestly, I added “Whatcha Doing” because it’s so catchy.
Book / Article / Long Read
I started reading this book towards the end of summer. I figured it could give me some good advice in relationships and why not and how to find the balance of what a man needs to feel satisfied in a relationship and how I can feel satisfied providing that.
Show / Film / Documentary
I love rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender, it just has so many life lessons and so many aspects of what kind of television I think we need in today’s times: something with a happy, fair ending. And obviously given the end of Stranger Things, I’m now rewatching from the first season just to see how everything ties together. I’d love to make it my mission this year to put out a scholarly article about either Stranger Things or Euphoria, which comes out later this year.
Comfort Thing of the Month
Cozy blankets
If there’s one thing I’ve been obsessed with as it’s gotten colder, is cozy blankets. I don’t know what it is, but I just get really cold no matter what time of year. Cozy blankets are just the perfect touch and provides a great amount of comfort whether I’m writing or working or chilling.
Game of the Month
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Winter Warmth Star Path
This is a special event in the Disney Dreamlight Valley game where you complete a set of tasks to get points to buy rewards. Some of these rewards are clothing items, others companions and build items. I love the theme of this Star Path and all the rewards that come with it, which allow for more build items and such in the snowy biome.
