New research reveals the Baltimore Ravens hand out the NFL’s heftiest player fines, with an average of $16,144 per infraction.
The analysis, conducted by FruityKing, examined official NFL fine and suspension data to find out which teams paid the price most often, and most severely, for breaking the rules on the field. While the Pittsburgh Steelers had the highest number of infractions overall, it was the Ravens who took the top spot for average fine value.

The Baltimore Ravens rank first with an average fine of $16,144 across 37 infractions, resulting in a total of $597,328. They didn’t commit the highest number of infractions. However, the severity and nature of their infractions pushed their total fines higher than other teams.
In second place are the Cincinnati Bengals with an average fine of $15,841 across 18 infractions. This equated to $285,141.
The Los Angeles Chargers place third with average fines of $15,797. In total, the team was fined for 21 infractions totaling $331,727.
Coming in fourth are the Pittsburgh Steelers, who led the league in both total infractions and total fine amount. With 44 infractions and an average fine of $14,060, the team racked up a league-high $618,636 in penalties.
New England Patriots complete the top five with an average fine of $13,772.57 per infraction.
Places six through ten are populated by the Chicago Bears in sixth with $13,584.39 per infraction, followed by the Washington Commanders at $13,213.38, New York Jets at $13,106.45, Indianapolis Colts at $12,946.94, and Kansas City Chiefs at $12,653.12.
A spokesperson from FruityKing commented on the findings,
“You’d think that fines would be pretty uniform across football, but it’s reassuring to see that the teams are treated fairly. For example, a team like the Cincinnati Bengals has some of the lowest total infractions at 18, but due to the severity, they have the second highest fine per infraction.
