So, the Super Bowl in New Orleans is up for grabs. As we gear up for Week 3, we’re starting to see some early issues with the teams we support. Whether it’s poor coaching or injuries, there is a valid reason for every team to lose out on a Super Bowl opportunity.
Arizona Cardinals: Jonathan Gannon

You couldn’t pay me any amount of money to believe that Gannon is capable of taking the team to a Super Bowl – let alone, winning a Super Bowl. His Super Bowl track record is 0-1.
Atlanta Falcons: Playoffs

Remember 28-3? Sure, that was years upon years ago, but we haven’t seen a single burst of promise from this team since.
Baltimore Ravens: They actually do have a good shot at a Super Bowl.

I do believe that if any team could make it to the Super Bowl, the Ravens have a fighting chance.
Buffalo Bills: They live in the shadow of the Chiefs.

If we’re being honest with ourselves, the Bills are not making it to the Super Bowl anytime soon. They still need to get over the late-playoff slump that they seem to be in.
Carolina Panthers: They’re not making it to a Super Bowl.

It would be criminal if I sat here and explained to you why the Panthers are not making it to the Super Bowl.
Chicago Bears: Come on now.

I will give the Bears the benefit of the doubt of actually trying to figure their team out, but it’s definitely not quite together yet.
Cincinnati Bengals: Offensive Line

Sure, we can put the blame on the offensive line when Joe Burrow should know, just like Patrick Mahomes, how to win regardless. But we can say the offensive line is holding Burrow and the Bengals back from getting to the Super Bowl.
Cleveland Browns: Deshaun Watson

Unfortunately for the Browns, I put a spell on them so they’ll never win a Super Bowl as long as Deshaun Watson is quarterback.
PLUS – Read more about why Watson sucks.
Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott

How are you going to pay the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys – America’s Team, supposedly – so much money just for him to choke in some games so far this season? It’s giving “I’ll never make it to the Super Bowl.”
Denver Broncos: They’re not exciting.

If the NFL is going to do anything, they’re going to make sure the teams in the NFL that have storylines, are going to get the spotlight in the postseason. The Broncos are just not exciting in the slightest, so what’s the point of them making it to the Super Bowl?
Detroit Lions: They’ve never been.

I can admit that the Lions are an incredible team right now, but I have little faith in the fact that they’ll make it far in the postseason.
Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers is already gone.

I don’t know how to feel about the Packers, they’re not a consistent enough team to make the Super Bowl. They’d also have to get through the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings.
Houston Texans: Too young of a team

Don’t get me wrong, I think a young team is more than capable of going all the way to the Super Bowl – but I don’t see it being likely,
Indianapolis Colts: Not giving the ball to Jonathan Taylor enough.

Jonathan Taylor is a power house and I’m so saddened that the Colts are taking a page out of the Eagles’ playbook by neglecting the run game. Taylor will make the Colts path to success so much easier if they just give him the ball.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Vibes

I’ll be real with you, I just don’t think the Jaguars make it to the Super Bowl based solely on vibes.
Kansas City Chiefs: NFL won’t allow it

There’s no way the NFL will allow a three-peat – then again, they would totally allow it right now. But I think another AFC team might shock this year.
Plus – One Chiefs player really sucks, read here.
Las Vegas Raiders: Be for real.

There’s no shot the Raiders – the Raiders – make the Super Bowl anytime soon. I’m convinced they’re in some sort of rebuild because there’s no way they’re prepared to contend.
Los Angeles Chargers: Everyone but Justin Herbert

Herbert is a sensational player and unfortunately he gets overshadowed by the mediocrity of the Chargers.
Los Angeles Rams: Aaron Donald is gone

The Rams need Donald in order to win, otherwise, I see no promise out of them anytime soon.
Miami Dolphins: Tua’s concussions.

The Dolphins had so much potential to be a great team this season, but Tagovailoa’s concussion issues are striking up again, which is going to make the Dolphins play style very inconsistent.
Minnesota Vikings: Injuries, but they are 5-0…

Regardless of the Vikings’ injuries, the team managed to go 5-0 so far. I think it’s going to be tough to continue playing at this level, but regardless, if they manage to do so, they could be a Super Bowl-contending team.
New England Patriots: No more Brady, no more Belichick.

The Patriots will forever be just a normal team again since Brady is no longer with them.
New Orleans Saints: Like anyone but Derek Carr.

Yeah, Derek Carr is not the problem, everyone else is.
New York Giants: They’re not making it to a Super Bowl, but Daniel Jones.

On the flip side, no one else is the problem, Daniel Jones is.
New York Jets: They’re now just figuring things out with Rodgers

It’s going to take a season or so to make the Jets and Rodgers click. I’d say they could have it figured out next season in order to contend, but definitely not right now.
Philadelphia Eagles: Not using their history of great running backs

The Eagles know how to find great players, but don’t know how to use them. We’ve gotten running backs after running backs and still don’t know how to properly use them. The Eagles are shooting themselves in the foot.
Pittsburgh Steelers: The quarterbacks

What the hell were the Steelers thinking getting rid of an average quarterback for below average quarterbacks? It’s like they closed their eyes and randomly pointed at players they wanted. You can’t convince me these two are going to take the Steelers to the Super Bowl.
San Francisco 49ers: Super Bowl hangover

Injuries plaguing the 49ers makes me feel like they’re facing a Super Bowl hangover season. I don’t see them making it back this year.
Seattle Seahawks: Their 15 seconds of fame is over

Let’s not talk about Geno Smith’s Comeback Player of the Year thing, but regardless, the Seahawks are just a background team again. I don’t have any faith in them getting to the Super Bowl as they’ve got more changes to make before they can contend.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: No Tom Brady

Let’s be real here, the Buccaneers benefited from a short Tom Brady stint. Baker Mayfield is not necessarily going to cut it if the team wants a shot at the postseason.
Tennessee Titans: Young team

The Titans went downhill fast after losing Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. There was a small stint where the Titans were pretty good, but they haven’t been able to get back to that.
Washington Commanders: Truthfully the thought of them hitting the Super Bowl is scary.

I don’t think the Commanders make it to the Super Bowl, but they’re definitely putting up a fight to get into that conversation. As an Eagles fan, this season is already haunting me.
