10 bold NFL predictions

1. Kansas City Chiefs do NOT three-peat

Making the playoffs is already difficult, let alone making and winning the Super Bowl in back-to-back years is extremely hard to do. I think the Chiefs will at least not win the Super Bowl again this year, as that will take a lot of work and a lot of teams are getting better in comparison.

2. There will be five head coaching vacancies

At the end of the season, at least five coaches will lose their job. Even though there’s a TON of good teams headed by good head coaches right now, I think there are still a handful of teams that are hanging on by thread with their head coaches.

3. An NFC team will win the Super Bowl

Because I don’t believe the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl, and I don’t think any other AFC team is going to get as close, I think it’s the year of the NFC team to win a Super Bowl. An NFC team hasn’t won since 2022 when the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20.

4. …And it won’t be the Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are already facing their string of offseason uneasiness, so I have zero trust in them being able to pull out a Super Bowl win. With the way the Eagles are flying under the radar coming into this season, I think the Cowboys’ window of opportunity is shut.

5. A rookie will dominate and stay in player of the year conversations.

There are a lot of memorable names from the 2024 NFL Draft. I think there will be a rookie or two who continuously have a fantastic season and solidify themselves in a Player of the Year conversation. I trust that one offensive and defensive rookie will steal the show.

6. We’ll see another 70-point win this season.

Like last season’s complete and utter smackdown, I think we will be fortunate enough to experience another huge number win. After the Miami Dolphins set their own record for most points in a game against the Denver Broncos in 2023, I definitely think more teams want a piece of the action.

7. The referee situation will come to a head.

There’s been rumblings here and there the past few seasons from the taunting adjustments, to the frequency of the referees throwing flags. This will be the season that we see this the most and hopefully some sort of change ensues from it.

8. The dynamic kickoff is not going to stick.

Sure, I think it’s going to be around now, but I don’t think the Dynamic Kickoff is popular among players and teams. I think they will be wanting to get rid of these new kickoff rules as it messes up the tempo of their game.

9. Other celebrities will jump on the “Taylor Swift/NFL” partnership.

After seeing the benefits Taylor Swift brought the NFL last season, there’s no doubt in my mind that more celebrities will join this party. In order for the NFL to make more money, they will probably strategize about who exactly they want to show on the screen during gameday.

10. One team will go undefeated for at least 8 weeks.

I think there’s enough strong teams in the NFL right now for at least one or two of them to go undefeated. I have a feeling it would be between the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles or Detroit Lions. These teams scream stability and going undefeated.
