Washington Commanders
Season Recap
The Commanders played their 92nd season in the NFL and fourth and final under head coach Ron Rivera. It was also the first under owner Josh Harris who bought the team from Daniel Snyder for $6.05 billion. The team failed to improve on their 8-8-1 record after a Week 13 loss to the Miami Dolphins, resulting in their seventh straight non-winning season. They were eliminated from playoff contention with a Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Many problems led to a 2-13 record for the rest of the season.
Major Offseason Moves
Head coach Ron Rivera was let go after four seasons with the team. The Commanders also released quarterback Sam Howell to the Seattle Seahawks, running back Antonio Gibson and kicker Brandon McManus. The team picked up tight end Zach Ertz, quarterback Marcus Mariota and running back Austin Ekeler.
With the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Commanders selected LSU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels.

New York Giants
Season Recap
This was the Giants’ 99th season in the NFL and second under head coach/general manager tandem Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen. The team failed to improve upon their 9-7 record from the season prior following an overtime win by the Philadelphia Eagles over the Buffalo Bills in Week 12. The Giants were eliminated from playoff contention following a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Day. Lingering problems from this season included quarterback Daniel Jones having injuries and the offensive line struggling.

Dallas Cowboys
Season Recap
This was the Cowboys’ 64th season in the NFL and 35th under owner Jerry Jones. It was also the fourth under head coach Mike McCarthy. For the first time since 2015, it was the first time the Cowboys were missing running back Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys matched their 12-5 record from the previous two seasons and ended up with a three-way tie with the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers, but got the second seed in the playoffs. Though they lost to the Bills in Week 15, they clinched their third straight playoff berth which marked the Cowboys first of three consecutive postseason appearances since appearing in six straight form 1991-1996. The Cowboys collapsed in the playoffs by the seventh seed Green Bay Packers.
Offseason Moves
The Cowboys released running back Ezekiel Elliott who went to the New England Patriots, offensive tackle Jason Peters who went to the Seattle Seahawks and tight end Dalton Schultz who went to the Houston Texans. The team picked up running back Ronald Jones II, quarterback Trey Lance and cornerback Stephen Gilmore.
With the 26th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Cowboys selected Michigan defensive tackle Mazi Smith.

Philadelphia Eagles
Season Recap
This was the Eagles’ 91st season in the NFL and third season under the head coach Nick Sirianni. The team entered the season as the NFC Champions, but failed to improve on their 14-3 record from that season after a loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. They clinched their third consecutive playoff berth. Despite starting 10-1 for the second season in a row, the Eagles lost five of their six last games and lost any chance at the first seed to the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles problems include poor defensive effort the entire season, eight of their eleven victories fell to one score and no wins were outside of two scores. These woes followed the team into the playoffs where they were eliminated in the Wild Card round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Offseason Moves
The Eagles promptly fired their offensive and defensive coordinators, Brian Johnson and Sean Desai. Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox also retired. The Eagles also let go of safety Kevin Byard who went to the Chicago Bears, linebacker Haason Reddick who went to the New York Jets and wide receiver DeVante Parker who retired. The Eagles picked up running back Saquon Barkley from the New York Giants and safety C. J. Gardner-Johnson makes his return to the team after one season with the Detroit Lions.
With a first round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Eagles selected Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell.

Division Winner Prediction
I think the Philadelphia Eagles make a strong return to the season, completely wiping out whatever happened last season. Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio are hot names across the NFL, and being on the Eagles will help elevate the players all the way back to the playoffs.
