Disney Dreamlight Valley is a Disney-centered “cozy game” that took the world by storm in late 2022 and 2023.
The objective of Disney Dreamlight Valley is to restore the Valley after Night Thorns began growing and causing the villagers to lose their memories in an event called “The Forgetting.” With Merlin’s help, the player works to restore the Valley, develop friendships with iconic characters and enjoy other surprises along the way.
So far in 2024, players are enjoying the expansion A Rift in Time with more characters like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. But for even with those without the expansion, they were still introduced to Daisy Duck and Mulan’s Mushu and Mulan.
Though characters like Cinderella, Ralph, Timon, Pumbaa and Tiana are announced to come to the game in a later time, the Disney Dreamlight Valley crew released a survey on Monday, July 8 gauging their audiences’ interest in future characters and gameplay.
After getting through demographic-related questions, the survey starts with asking what in-game events players participated in: Eggstravanganza 2024, where players collected eggs to craft egg-themed rewards; Dreamlight Parks Fest, where players collected buttons and cooking cupcakes to craft popcorn buckets and decorations; and Memoria Mania, where players completed memories to earn emotion-themed animal companions, based on the new Inside Out 2 movie.
Other questions get very specific, gauging interest in what duties players want to do in future in-game events. They also asked for players’ top three clothing aesthetics for future games.
The survey continues with what top three Disney/Pixar franchises players would most likely and least likely be interested in for future game storylines.
The franchises to choose from are: Cars, The Muppets, Cinderella, Star Wars, Hercules, Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood, The Jungle Book, Aladdin, Emperor’s New Groove, The Incredibles, Snow White, 101 Dalmatians, Winnie the Pooh, Zootopia and Pinocchio.
Following these questions, the survey has a list of potential characters from the above franchises that players would vote on for future gameplay.
Seeing a survey from Disney Dreamlight Valley seems like they’re planning to get more content out to the gameplay since it’s still a pretty popular cozy game.
