A.J. Brown never wanted to leave Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Eagles’ A.J. Brown isn’t just a star wide receiver.

Sure, he had a great two seasons with the Eagles thus far, amassing 2,952 total yards, 18 touchdowns and has almost two more receptions as an Eagle than he did as a Titan – 5.7 and 4.3 respectively.

But maybe we need to spend less time thinking he’s done with Philly and more on why he is all in on Philly.

A.J. Brown’s team posted a photo on Instagram with the seemingly new and improved “A.J. Brown Foundation.”

Though much can be found about his foundation in previous years, only one photo remains on his Instagram which could mean a potential rebrand.

Regardless of the social media presence, Brown having a charity in Philly means he’s always going to be in Philly in some capacity. Look at former players Zach Ertz and Rodney McLeod – who played in Super Bowl LII together. Though they don’t play for the City of Brotherly Love anymore, it does seem like they’ve never really left.

Rodney McLeod started the Change Our Future Foundation in 2020 alongside his wife, Erika to create everlasting change on the youth in Philadelphia, Maryland and South Jersey. Through different services and fundraising opportunities, the Change Our Future Foundation has raised over $500,000 to give back to the youth in underserved communities.

Zach Ertz and his family founded the Ertz Family Foundation. Though Ertz has spent some time away from Philadelphia, his impact is still being felt in the community. The Ertz Family Foundation’s mission is to “Empower others by sharing faith, learning through sports, and advancing education to build supportive communities.”

Both of these athletes frequently contribute to Philadelphia through their initiatives, and now that A.J. Brown has his foundation in Philly, there’s no chance he’s ever truly going to be gone.
