Fun Super Bowl bets to place

The Super Bowl became a huge experience for consumers in recent years. What was once just a focus on two teams battling it out for the championship is now focus on so many aspects of what makes Super Bowl Sunday fun. Commercials, celebrity spottings and fun bets seem to be the highlight each year.

With Super Bowl LVIII, we’ve been following a plethora of storylines, including Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship. With that said, this adds a lot of fun to the “fun” Super Bowl bets you can make before gameday.

TheSportsGeek.com put out some of their best fun bets that I highlighted below. You can make these bets and more with a quick Google search on some of the fun bets to make before The Big Game.

Super Bowl LVIII Official Viewership

Under 116.5 Million Viewers

This number makes a lot of sense since the viewership record was broken last year in Super Bowl LVII where the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles brought in 114.21 million viewers. With Taylor Swift bringing in a lot of new fans, I think it makes sense to take the over 116.5 million viewers during the game.

I could also argue that if Swift is not at the game, Swifties will not tune in. I don’t see a world where Swift misses this game, so I’m confident the over hits.

If Swift comes from Tokyo to be at the Super Bowl, I like the odds that she will get some decent screen time. Before haters get upset, Swift has gotten very little screen time in the two and a half hours of football. That being said, the Super Bowl will be no different. I predict that she’ll be shown once every quarter in addition to if Kelce scores a touchdown or makes a great play.

For that reason, I like the under here. I don’t think Swift gets a lot of screen time as she’d be competing with commercials and the game itself, which should take most of the broadcast.

This is the first time I’m seeing first advertisement bets and I love them. You always remember the staple products in our lives take time during Super Bowl commercial breaks – and Coors Light and BMW are two of those staples.

I’m not sure which one I’d think would come first but from an advertising/marketing director perspective, I’d probably show an alcohol commercial early to get fans interested in the product. I don’t see them paying much attention to a BMW commercial early in the game. ‘That being said, I’m riding with Coors Light being shown before a BMW commercial.

Considering this year’s Super Bowl colors are red and purple, and Vegas having particularly iconic red and white signs, I think one of these top two colors will be the Gatorade color. I’ve never seen a purple Gatorade color in my cognizant lifetime, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen this year.

I think it’s interesting to take the purple Gatorade color. I don’t think it’s red because both teams are red and it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me when they could do something different.

Will a Player Score an Octopus?

This is maybe one of the more popular fun Super Bowl bets. An octopus is when a singular player scores eight points. This can happen when a player rushes for a touchdown and successfully completes a two-point conversion. During Super Bowl LVII, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts completed an octopus.

There are plenty of players on the Chiefs and 49ers I could see this happen. It doesn’t sound as rare as people might think. I think it would be most likely for Christian McCaffrey to complete the octopus. I’m saying yes it would happen again.
