The NFL Divisional Round begins this weekend. The top teams in the NFL will continue their journey towards the Lombardi Trophy. Right now on BetMGM, there are limited betting choices, but there are some interesting over/unders available.
Check out my favorite bets for each Divisional Round game, courtesy of BetMGM.
Houston Texans (4) at Baltimore Ravens (1)
O/U: 43.5 (-110)
Bet I Like: Over 43.5 Total Points
This matchup is going to be fun. I expect nothing less than a back-and-forth matchup between the Ravens and Texans. I think the Texans know exactly who they’re up against and are scheming for it. This season, the Texans averaged 22.2 points per game while allowing opponents to score 20.8. On the Ravens side, they’ve averaged 28.4 points and allowed 16.5. Though the Ravens have a strong defense, I don’t doubt that the Texans will put up some scores. I like the over for this matchup.
Green Bay Packers (7) at San Francisco 49ers (1)
O/U: 50.5 (-110)
Bet I Like: Over 50.5 Total Points
After the exciting win over the Dallas Cowboys last weekend, the Packers are riding a high that is going to need to serve them this week. The 49ers are known for being a high-scoring team thanks to their offensive weapons. The Packers will have their work cut out for them, but I don’t think they’re down for the count yet. The 49ers averaged 28.9 point per game this season while the Packers averaged 22.5. Granted, the 49ers are going to be far more challenging than the Cowboys, but I think the over hits if the 49ers have a really good day and the Packers try to keep it close.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4) at Detroit Lions (3)
O/U: 48.5 (-110)
Bet I Like: Over 48.5 Total Points
The Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to be a fun matchup. With the Lions having a historic NFC North win to propel them into the postseason, the team continues to dominate in hopes of getting to their first Super Bowl win. The Buccaneers look to keep their postseason alive with Mayfield and Co. I think this matchup warrants another high-scoring matchup and I’d take this over. The Bucs averaged 20.5 points per game while the Lions averaged 27.1 points per game. I think it’s very likely that these two teams will go back and forth.
Kansas City Chiefs (3) at Buffalo Bills (2)
O/U: 45.5 (-110)
Bet I Like: O 45.5 Total Points
I think it goes without saying that when these two teams match up, they put up back-and-forth-scoring numbers. This over is easy money. The Chiefs average 26 points per game and the Bills just a little bit better with 26.5 points per game. Both teams have amazing defenses, averaging a combined 25.3 allowed points per game from their opponents. I think the over 45.5 total points is very doable and may even exceed this number.
