Takeaways from NFL Week 9.
First & Jenn’s Game of the Week
Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
Cowboys: Toe-to-toe with a division rival. Redzone troubles kill.
Eagles: The Eagles manage to get away from a win that could’ve easily been a loss in the final minute of the game.
First & Jenn’s Game to Skip
New York Giants @ Las Vegas Raiders
Giants: Daniel Jones being taken out of the game is a huge factor and I still think the Giants manage to win this game if he wasn’t injured.
Raiders: On the flip side, the Raiders were able to capitalize off of this downfall.
Tennessee Titans @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Titans: Though they lost, I’m very impressed with Will Levis’ performance during this game.
Steelers: On the flip side, I think Pickett could have put up more in this game.
Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs
Dolphins: Being held scoreless in the first half really killed the Dolphins chances of a second half comeback.
Chiefs: And suddenly, the Chiefs managed to comeback. I’m particularly intrigued by how both of their losses feel like anomalies but still somehow feel concerning.
Minnesota Vikings @ Atlanta Falcons
Vikings: Joshua Dobbs. That’s it.
Falcons: When you throw in a different opposing quarterback a few days before a game, it’s kind of hard to scheme against him. Regardless, they should be making that happen.
Seattle Seahawks @ Baltimore Ravens
Seahawks: Why are we talking about the Seahawks as up there in dominating teams?
Ravens: Why are we not talking about the Ravens?
Arizona Cardinals @ Cleveland Browns
Cardinals: Just don’t trust the Cardinals.
Browns: With Deshaun Watson back, it’s intriguing to see how this kind of gave the Browns a fire underneath them.
Los Angeles Rams @ Green Bay Packers
Rams: The Rams managed to plummet mid-season especially against a team with their first year with a new quarterback. Very concerning.
Packers: Cohesive offense makes the game winnable.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Houston Texans
Buccaneers: Very cohesive audience but somehow couldn’t get the W.
Texans: This is an intriguing win for the Texans that probably gives them a little
Washington Commanders @ New England Patriots
Commanders: It just makes a lot of sense that the Commanders win this game against a team with only two wins this season. The Commanders have had pop up games of tougher teams that I think makes them able to staying stable through the rest of the season.
Patriots: The Patriots just aren’t managing to get anywhere and truthfully, I don’t think they’re putting up much of a fight.
Chicago Bears @ New Orleans Saints
Bears: Bad day for Bagent, but I’m not saying this is a horrible loss to the Bears.
Saints: The Saints, on the other hand, managed to have everything together on offense.
Indianapolis Colts @ Carolina Panthers
Colts: I’m not giving the Colts their flowers, they could very well lose next week. It’s just that the Panthers are bad.
Panthers: I mean, Caleb Williams season?
Buffalo Bills @ Cincinnati Bengals
Bills: It was expected to be a close game, but I think Bills slightly needed this win more as they compete in the AFC.
Bengals: The Bengals came into this game ready. Joe Burrow had an insane game – little less than 350 yards and two touchdowns.
Los Angeles Chargers @ New York Jets
Chargers: Austin Ekeler is him.
Jets: The Jets are just a frustrating inconsistent team. They just beat the Eagles a few weeks ago but manage to fall to the Chargers.
