Another week has come and gone. What teams are looking good and what teams are sinking as we approach Week 8?
First & Jenn’s Game of the Week
San Francisco 49ers @ Minnesota Vikings
49ers: I don’t think this is a huge concerning loss, but I do think we shouldn’t be considering the 49ers as the top dog of the NFC following their second consecutive loss.
Vikings: I don’t think the Vikings are much this year, but having a win over the 49ers is a confidence boost.
First & Jenn’s Game to Skip
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Los Angeles Rams
Steelers: Safe to say the Steelers are back in the hunt for AFC North contention. Not too sure how I feel about them against the rest of the conference.
Rams: This is kind of a concerning loss? But not so much so that I would peg the Rams to miss the playoffs…yet.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints
Jaguars: The Jaguars continue to impress me, no matter who they face.
Saints: The Saints kept it close with the Jaguars, in a way, it has to be a win to be proud of.
Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens
Lions: To be only held to six points is wild, especially with the sensational season they’ve had so far.
Ravens: Nothing new here with the Ravens.
Las Vegas Raiders @ Chicago Bears
Raiders: The Raiders have yet to give me a reason to believe in them, and losing against a team that has struggled to show up is an even bigger red flag.
Bears: Another win with a new quarterback, if this is how Fields can get his confidence back up while getting the Bears back on track, then that’s what has to be done.
Cleveland Browns @ Indianapolis Colts
Browns: Close game for the Browns, I don’t know if both of these are anomalies, however the Browns are looking like a contending AFC team this season.
Colts: The Colts didn’t suffer much of a loss with only one point, I think they brush it off and reassess to come back.
Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots
Bills: For the Bills to struggle against the Patriots is insane.
Patriots: For the Patriots to win against the Bills is equally insane.
Washington Commanders @ New York Giants
Commanders: The Commanders had opportunities to win this game and didn’t execute. Offensively, they really didn’t look impressive like they did against the Eagles.
Giants: The Giants aren’t necessarily good, the Commanders were just rough.
Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Falcons: Not good, not bad. But a win’s a win for a young team.
Buccaneers: The Buccaneers fall to .500 and I don’t know if I see much improvement from them as the season goes on.
Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks
Cardinals: Turnovers are what killed this team the most.
Seahawks: Not a perfect game, but it’ll do to keep them as a dark horse in the NFC.
Green Bay Packers @ Denver Broncos
Packers: I think the Packers stay a middle of the pack team in the NFC, but this loss also means nothing.
Broncos: The Broncos win a much needed game to try to keep themselves in the AFC running. It’s not doing much.
Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs
Chargers: I’m a little unsure of the Chargers at this point, but they did manage to stay toe-to-toe with the Chiefs.
Chiefs: With Taylor Swift in the picture, Travis Kelce is going to work harder and therefore, the Chiefs are just going to continue to dominate.
Miami Dolphins @ Philadelphia Eagles
Dolphins: I don’t think this loss makes a world of difference to the Dolphins. I think they brush this one off and continue.
Eagles: This win for the Eagles is a staple win that I think finally puts them back on the map against the highest-scoring team in the NFL.
