The ALCS just got interesting as the Houston Astros forced a Game 5 by winning in Game 3 of the ALCS series against the Texas Rangers, 8-5. The Rangers currently lead the series by one game.
In Game 3, the Astros somehow got things right in Rangers territory. Kyle Tucker and José Altuve shined with two runs each, at least one of those runs coming from home runs. The Rangers started coming back in the fifth inning, but did not do enough to secure their third win.
Game 4 of the ALCS will be shown in primetime at 8:03 PM ET on FS1. Game 3 of the NLCS featuring the Phillies and Diamondbacks will broadcast at 5:07 PM ET on TBS.
For the first time in the ALCS, neither team is a favorite to win. Both teams currently sit at (-110). Check out bets for today’s postseason slate.
E. Carter O 0.5 Hits (-165)
See previous betting articles. Riding this until the wheels fall off. Carter has been clutch this series.
C. Seager O 1.5 Hits (+175)
I’m all for this bet just to kind of experiment and see how Seager responds tonight. I think he’s more than capable of hitting at least two hits.
J. Urquidy to Allow 5+ Hits (+160)
I’m not familiar with either pitcher in tonight’s matchup, but it seems like now with the Astros and Rangers getting heated up in the ALCS, both teams are more settled in with this next set of games and therefore might be a little more accurate with their hitting. I wouldn’t say this is a prop against Urquidy as it is so much a prop for the opposing team.
