The ALCS continues today as the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros continue battling for a World Series spot in Houston. The Rangers took a much needed victory against the Astros, 2-0.
Evan Carter and Leody Taveras both scored runs to help bring the team to an early victory. Jordan Montgomery struck out six Astros batters to keep things moving in the right direction for the Rangers.
To introduce the NLCS in primetime with the Philadelphia Phillies at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Game 2 of the ALCS will begin at 4:37 PM ET on FOX.
BetMGM favors the Astros at (-120) and the Rangers as (+100) underdogs. Check out bets for today’s afternoon game.
Astros ML (-120)
If at first you don’t succeed, try again with less money. Seriously, the Astros need this win tonight before they go on the road versus the Rangers. I think they know what is at stake right now and what this means to split the series so far.
Y. Alvarez Hit (-210)
See above. I think Alvarez gets it right tonight and finally gets a hit again. Sunday night he was unable to get a hit, but I think he settles in against the Rangers Monday night.
E. Carter Hit (-135)
Taking a bit of a recency bias approach by taking Carter to also get a hit. He got one yesterday along with a run, so I think this energy flows over into Monday night’s game.
