NFL 2023: Week 4 Takeaways

Another week in the books. Check out my quick takeaways from each team in the NFL after Week 4.

First & Jenn’s Game of the Week

Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills

Dolphins: I wouldn’t say they got exposed. 1) divisional games are always challenging and 2) it’s the Bills. However, the Dolphins need to bounce back if they wanna stay in this AFC running.

Bills: The Bills have found their way back to the top 3. Chiefs, Bills…Ravens? Also, Damar Hamlin looks great, but with Tua Tagovailoa’s fiery start, I’m not so sure Hamlin gets the award.

First & Jenn’s Game to Skip

Denver Broncos @ Chicago Bears

Broncos: The Broncos are not all of the sudden good because they beat an 0-3 team.

Bears: The Bears are, however, just as bad for being an 0-4 team.

Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers

Lions: The Lions are all of the sudden good now?

Packers: The Packers are still figuring things out, but I’m not totally out on them yet with the way the Vikings and Bears are playing.

Atlanta Falcons @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Falcons: Not a good day for Desmond Ridder. But great day for BiJan Roinson.

Jaguars: It’s not like the Jaguars had a great game, but they did just enough to pull themselves to .500.

Los Angeles Rams @ Indianapolis Colts

Rams: The Rams, I keep saying, should not be slept on. That defense didn’t have the best game, but now they face the Philadelphia Eagles who haven’t been 100% stable yet.

Colts: The Colts aren’t necessarily in a bad position either, I’m not sure how I feel about them in the AFC in general, but they can compete right now in their division.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns

Ravens: The Ravens had a lucky break against the Browns but I think they could be on track for contending.

Browns: Because Deshaun Watson was down, that means the defense had to suck, too?

Minnesota Vikings @ Carolina Panthers

Vikings: The Vikings finally get their first win…against a team who hasn’t won yet. At least Cousins had a good day.

Panthers: Bryce Young continues to look great. The Panthers as a whole? Not so much.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Tennessee Titans

Bengals: Sound the alarm because the Bengals are not looking good at all.

Titans: The Titans, on the other hand, remain average with nothing about the team standing out to me.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints

Buccaneers: The Buccaneers defense bounces back, holding the Saints to only 197 yards.

Saints: The Saints just don’t wow me. What’s with using three different quarterbacks and not a single one throws a touchdown?

Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles

Commanders: The Commanders are not good, the Eagles were just playing with their food.

Eagles: Shakiest 4-0 start since the Eagles’s 2022 4-0 start.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Houston Texans

Steelers: The Pickett injury kills, but I think this team needs a revamp in the offseason.

Texans: Not even convinced in the Texans regardless of how they did.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers

Raiders: The seven allowed sacks, five punts and nine penalties for 80 yards will do it to you.

Chargers: The Chargers manage to get back to .500 even though they should be higher than that.

New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys

Patriots: The Patriots give me a lot of worries. I don’t think they’re a team I trust this season.

Cowboys: The Cowboys are a team I never trust, but they do manage to look good around this time every season.

Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers

Cardinals: The Cardinals short lived success ended with the 49ers. However, they could still oddly enough somehow manage to come back with the amount of teams that aren’t that good so far this season.

49ers: The 49ers continue to be juggernauts and that should shock no one.

Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets

Chiefs: The Chiefs Did Something Bad and the Jets were just not Ready For It.

Jets: Tis the Damn Season for Caleb Williams (?)

Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants

Seahawks: It’s not that the Seahawks are that good, they just faced the other unstable New York  team in primetime this week.

Giants: Sound the alarms. The team needs to make adjustments like yesterday.
