Stardew Valley is a farming simulation game where instead of working a corporate job for the rest of your life, your grandfather gives you his farm that grants you the opportunity to bring life back to the town.
Comprised of four seasons, players begin in the spring then continue into summer. This gives players the opportunity to learn some of the more important aspects of the game – farming and building relationships – before expanding to other aspects of the game.
Summer is a great opportunity to enjoy the next set of crops that can be grown. This guide will help you break down anything you need to have a great spring season for first-time players or those entering Year 10.

SEASONAL TIPS
Plant a variety of summer crops like starfruit if you’re able, blueberries and coffee beans. Both of these crops are definite moneymakers. Though the starfruit is a little harder to obtain, it can sell for 2250 as a wine. Coffee can be made from the kegs and using the Triple Shot Espresso recipe you can get from Gus will help you in gameplay.
Prepare for the fall because summer crops will die. Corn is the only crop that will roll over into the fall, so make sure you’re able to plan accordingly. It’s also worthwhile to buy fall seeds as soon as you can. Now is the time to use the kegs again because of the money you can get for the production.
Final Thoughts
The most important thing about this game is that it is going to feel like work. If you ever feel like it’s impossible to get something, be sure to check out the Traveling Merchant every Friday and Sunday in the Cindersap Forest to see if you can purchase what you’re trying to find or make.
