When: Every Sunday

What is it: Enjoy the fireworks display every Sunday evening from any corner of the island!

When: August 15

What is it: The Buddhist festival marks the return of one’s ancestors. People in Japan visit cemeteries and clean their family’s gravestones, don light summer kimono called yukata or jinbei, watch fireworks, and attend festivals where they eat, drink, and dance.

Cowboy Festival – Rodeo-Style Springy Ride-On

When: July – August 15

What is it: Many countries have their own cowboy-themed celebrations, but this one is inspired by Brazilian traditions. We hope this springy ride-on toy will help you get into the spirit!

Cowherd & Weaver Girl Day – Hikoboshi & Orihime Outfits

When: August 5 – August 14

What is it: Based on the star-crossed story of two lovers who were only allowed to meet once per year. Perhaps you’ll think of reuniting with someone dear to you when you wear this special outfit.

Obon – Cucumber Horse & Eggplant Cow

When: August 8 – August 14

What is it: Celebrated mainly in Japan, it is said that ancestral spirits will visit the living beginning on August 13th, arriving on creatures made from cucumber and eggplant before departing once more on the 16th.
